Welcome to the beginning of the Siddington Map...

This home page will soon start to populate with streets, roads, houses, church, pub, school, gardens, fields, and your very own place of residence. This project has already taken many hours of preparation, surveying, sketching, camera work and hair pulling. But, at last, I am happy to say a method (including a little madness) has been drawn up to produce a Map for Siddington that hopefully as well as being informative will be 'Cool to look at!'

Now 'Cool' needs a little more than just a top down, flat plan map and so...
As you can imagine sketching and coloring the south facing side of every property in Siddington is quite a task and one I was happy to hand over to my wife Hilary. I apologise in advance if the south facing side of your property happens to be not very interesting, but for the purposes of this map it is that face that will be elevated to a 3D status and only where practicable (Please note 3D for this purpose means 'having perspective' and not the eye popping craze that is sweeping every cinema in the country). If would be helpful if those of you who have properties with a southface that cannot easily be seen by a man with short legs and a modest stature of 5' foot 8" to take a photo of it yourself and send it to me as detailed in 'Comments & Feedback'.

For more information 'Click' on the tab 'About'. Clicking on 'Photos' will reveal what pics and other artwork may be included as the map developes, but do not expect to see many images appear here until late Spring 2012.

It is intended, as this website version of the map grows, to enable you to magnify specified areas to the 'actual size' that they will be dipicted on the finished map. To try this out simply 'Click' where indicated below and 'Hey presto... MAGNIFICATION!'
